That's good to know, I heard the feedback on the mechanical happs rotary feeling fine in other games, and if they made the optical rotary feel acceptable in normal games too, that completes the big mystery. Now I'll feel better about ordering one or the other or both (maybe mechanical for player 1 and optical for player 2) when the big day comes for me to start planning a cab.
For the optical shaft, how does it feel as far as using it as a normal joystick without rotating, is the shaft rather tight so that you wouldn't even know it can rotate unless you tried?
