Has anyone here replaced the cheap pot that comes with the CH Controls / Thrustmaster steering wheel with a high quality pot? My understanding is that the pot that comes with the unit is 100k. I have been doing some reading at the build your own steering wheels sites, but those sites seem inactive, and I thought this forum may be able to help. Can someone explain how replacing the 100k pot with a 200k (or a 50k) pot affects steering sensitivity. My goal is to gain smoother and more precise steering. I am also planning to replace the bungee cords in the steering wheel with some high quality springs or counter weights that will provide a more realistic steering result, any comments/suggestions/input? I am tired of that little punk Jeff Gordan beating me all the time.
