This is really not as bad as it seems. It's just wiring; you could get a whole roll of it for quite cheap and make as many mistakes as you wanted. Be glad that you have the option of not soldering.

Now this is where you have to read more. Andy Warne's own I-Pac page clearly shows that the interface connects to PC either via keyboard cable or USB cable; you pick whichever one you want when you order.

Then the control panel connects to the I-Pac.
