See posts and arguement later on, but you need at least a PIII 800 or better. Sorry. I'd recommend a PIII 800, 128 meg of ram, and a fast PCI or AGP video card. But really only the processor means anything.

: Ok folks, I think I may have an idea about what's wrong here, but I'm not sure. I recently did an upgrade from a P100 to a K62-350. I'm running MAME32 on Win98 2nd ed., and the ROM that I'm trying play is Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition. It just doesn't run at full speed, in fact I'd say it's roughly half-speed. Gals panic is slow too.

: I have noticed that I get a speed increase when I disable my USB gamepad. Which kinda sux, because The game is near impossible with a keyboard, but here's another thing I think may be the problem:

: I'm using old parts from my last machine, specifically:

: A 16-Bit ISA Sound Blaster compatible card,
: A PCI 4-Meg Video card.
: My HD is also not UDMA but I didn't think that was the thing. I am using 100 MHz DRAM.

: If I upgrade my sound to PCI and my video to AGP will I see a speed increase perhaps? Or is 350 Mhz just not fast enough to run Street Fighter 2?
: Please help if you know!!
