I've got a Sega Aero City cabinet. I'm using the arcade monitor - it's not hard at all to interface it to the PC, all you have to do is cut a VGA cable in half and solder the appropriate wires to a Jamma fingerboard which plugs into the cabinet's wiring harness. Go to the PC2Jamma site (www.mameworld.net/pc2jamma) for more info.

As far as your Soundblaster is concerned, it is your best bet for use in the arcade cab - the on-board sound will be unamplified, whereas a SB16 has a 4-watt amp that can drive the speakers in the cabinet unassisted. All you have to do to get it working is look at the jumpers on the card to figure out what I/O address, IRQ, and DMA channel it's set to, then make sure to do a SET BLASTER statement in your autoexec.bat. You should probably download the DOS driver package for the SB16 from creative's web site, it should take care of some of this for you.

I'm not sure about your problems with MAME giving errors - perhaps if you post the error messages, someone can point you in the right direction.
