Yeah, it is build your own arcade controls...so? Do we all have to build our cabs from scratch too? and design our own buttons instead of buy them from HAPPS? Basically it is just a time issue...and time IS money. I don't care if someone wants to hack a keyboard. Let them hack away. But it is a lot easier to spend $40 and waste little time compared to hours of time and the cost of a keyboard. So who knows.
Also, we should buy the IPAC to support Andy and keep him in business. He helps out a great deal of people and we should be grateful. The best way to return the favor is plug his device.

: Personally I'd rather people make their encoders from keyboards and not buy the IPAC then have people like you calling others idiots on this board. Let me ask you some questions.
: Did you buy your control panel pre-made? If not, then why not? Wouldn't it have saved you a lot of time even though it would have cost you more money? Did you buy your cab pre-made? Did you buy everything pre-made or did you *gasp* build stuff on your own? There are plenty of people that would do all the work for you and customize it right down to the smallest detail...for a price.

In case you didn't realize, this site is called BUILD YOUR OWN ARCADE CONTROLS not BUY YOUR OWN ARCADE CONTROLS so if people want to hack their own keyboard then more power to them.
: I like to believe that this hobby is open to anyone and not just those that have a large "disposable" income. Believe it or not some people actually have to save money and need to cut corners in order for them to be involved in this hobby. So saving $40 and hacking their own keyboard may in fact be their only option.
