I'm getting my cabinet soon from arcadefever, Whats the name of the cabinet you are getting? It will take much longer than you think to prepare your cabinet for emulators. first of all, arcade cabinets don't come with your standard rca inputs. you will have to figure out how to connect your computer to the RGB monitor or decide if you want to go with a TV. then if you want the joysticks to work with your cab you might have to hack a few game pads and wire them to you control panel. It can be a tedious process to get everything you want working right. I suggest you wait till you get the cab and then figure out a schematic for your project. good luck

: Ok, I ordered a Japanese sit down cab from Arcadestuff on ebay. It will be here on Thursday. In preparation, I have downloaded DosMAME and arcadeos. Unfortunatly, I am unable to get them to work. First my problem was with the sound card. I got a Soundblaster 16 ISA. I acadentily got a non PnP version, and have not been able to get it to work at all. CD music played in mono, and I could hear clicks. Thats it. So I switched to the on board sound. It works great, but not in DOS. So i turned sound off, and booted Arcadeos in pure DOS (up until this time, I could go through the menu, but launching a game caused my computer to reboot instantly). I can choose games, but they all come up with errors. I use the same roms in MAME32, and they work fine. Any suggestions? I read the documents that came with arcadeos, and I have checked both mame.net faqs and mameworld.net faqs but am still stuck. ANy help is much appreciated.
