: OK, I've narrowed down to 3 of which trackball I should buy. Number one is the translucent blue trackball from arcadesticks.com found here http://www.arcadesticks.com/new_page_5.htm for 60 bucks, but this month it's 50. Plus I'd have to do a mouse hack with that one.

: Number 2 is from imperialusa. It's a 3" translucent red one with a build in PS/2 interface found here http://www.imperialusa.com/m1.html for 80 bucks.

: Number 3 is from Happ. It's a 3" one which I'll have to hack and it doesn't have a translucent ball. It's 70 bucks.

Happ DOES sell trackballs with translucence option. There does not appear to be a formal part number of that, at least not as far as I could tell on their website... so I would telephone them to make sure.

If you wanted to cover all of your bases as I do, and you plan to include two trackballs on any one panel as well as two spinners, the only way to do that is to use Andy Warne's OptiPac along with two T-balls from Happs. :-P Sure, it's expensive, but you could start with one T-ball and one spinner, then add them again later.
