Hacking an 8-way to use in place of an analog is easy. I've even hacked a 49-way to use in place of an analog.

: I don't think anyone was really saying it could replicate an analog control. I asked the question if it could be adapted/hacked to do it.

: I personally don't see the advantage to using the 360 v.s. the Super8. Sure it may last longer without microswitches, but I like the feel of the Super8 (and the Super8 is a lot cheaper).

: Now a more interesting thread to start would be...how to hack an existing 8-way joystick (whatever kind) to also pull double duty as an analog joystick.
