For his company he builds industrial control panels for controlling robots, traffic lights, applying labels to products etc. Anyways, he had the vario-face module left over and he knew my keyboard encoder had ribbon cable and it's awesome! My model has 26 pins and cost $36.40. The distributor he bought em from was steiner electric. They're somewhere around us because I remember a couple years back they had a big carnival type thing for all of their customers and it was outside their factory and offices.
