When connecting an rgb monitor with composite sync to a PC vga card most docs say to twist the vertical and horizontal sync wires together to produce a composite sync for the rgb monitor. Is this an inductive coupling of the wires? eg insulated but twisted together or are the horizontal and vertical sync signals shorted together? eg bare wires. Could someone please clarify this instruction.

Thanks
Bob
