Finally it worked, setting the input to Dial V. Thanks.

Are these settings documented anywhere? I had no idea what these V settings were for, Dial V and paddle V etc...so I stuck with just DIal and Dial2 etc.

Are the OSCAR spinners pre-set to a certain axis, or selectable between X and Y?
