We all know how it sucks to have a scambled video signal when your PC in your MAME cabinet is first booting when connected to your arcade monitor. Support for cutting the video signal until ArcadeOS has booted has been around for a long time...
How about, instead of cutting the signal, you switch the signal to a real arcade board that has had it's ROMs modified to only display your custom MAME boot screen? It could be done to some cheap, junky board that nobody wants, like Kung-Fu Master or Street Fighter 2 or something. Hmmm? Thoughts?
