The way I see to solve this problem is here.

1) Make the control panel (CP) for Mame.
2) Connect CP to PC keyboard encoder (KBE) via Molex or other quick-connector (QC).
3) Hack two Dreamcast (DC) pads to get at their printed circuit boards (PCB's). These will lead to an actual Sega Dreamcast console for its library of quality arcade titles.
4) Wire another set of quick-connectors leading to the DC PCB's.
5) Swap the CP's QC between the KBE (for Mame) and the DC PCB's as necessary!!

NOW the only problem is where to find clear, concise diagrams for the DC controller PCB's. Help!
