...if you download and enable Mame Cheats, Defender's controls will be remapped so that you can thrust, up/down and reverse all with the same stick. This is contrary to the original design but is much more intuitive... Defender and Stargate were the only games of their type to involve such an obtuse control scheme. Thank heaven they are unique.
