Is this a device that I can use with any video card? And if so how is it compared to a video card with s-video out like the ASVS AGP-V7700 (GeForce 2GTS) that was reccommended above?

: : One thing you may want to look for is a TV with which you can adjust the overscan. Most PC monitors have front panel controls to adjust the picture size so you can reduce the black border around the actual picture. Most TV's don't have that kind of control easily accessible, but do have 'hidden' remote control codes for access to those kinds of controls. Without adjustment, things like in-game status bars (like health bars in SF2) in the corners of the picture can run off the edge of the screen on a TV with the default overscan settings.
: The AITECH MultiPro 2000 is a scan converter. If you can afford it, it's about $ 250 or so, it does that automatically. ZSNES, all PC games, A26, etc all go edge to edge with it. I'm switching to an ASUS AGP-7700 Deluze (Svideo hardware built in). But if the overscan, or lack thereof is present, I will use it with the AITech.
