: I've just completed phase one of my stand alone keyboard hack.
: It works great except that if I press the buttons assigned to CTRL, ALT & the space bar at the
: same time, the computer goes into suspended mode.
: I researched a little & found that if I deselect the box for allowing windows to manage power,
: the problem won't occur.
: But I've heard from several people that this may not be good for my system.
: A little window warning me about battery life etc.. also poped up when I did this.
: My question is:
: Is there a way to stop the computer from suspending when pressing CTRL, ALT
: & Space simultanteously while allowing window to manage power?

: I'm sure that this is an elementary problem for some but I'm at a loss.
: Please help; other than this the unit really works great.

: If you want details on my project:
: I purchased an MK2 control pannel from Gamemasters in Baton Rouge LA.
: I chose not to modify the playing surface of the pannel for this phase (2Js, 5Bs each & 1&2Ps)
: I simply hacked a PC Concepts keyboard ($0.99 cents with rebate from Office Depot/ Still
: waiting for that rebate) to the original controls.
: I know that this isn't a popular way to do it, but I managed to put the keyboard back
: together after soldering a 25 connector ribbon cable to the matrix.
: Since I still have full keyboard function, I did not have to build a splitter.
: The MK2 pannel is huge & is open at the back so I have a handy place to store the keyboard.
: It sits perfectly atop my computer desk at a height which allows stand up play.
: Phase 2 will comprise of an new top pannel with custom overlay, trackball, very likely a spinner
: & many, many more buttons.
