I would think it would be easier to donwload 20 MB here, and 30MB there, rather than 500+MB all once at the end of a beta cycle. That, and you get to keep up with the latest games instead of waiting.
At any rate, the last two beta cycles went well into the teens and we are only at b11. So you may be in for a bit more waiting.
