...I would buy the Hagstrom KE72T. I have one and LOVE it. For my next project I'll probably try the IPAC since I won't need additional inputs and it's cheaper. If you plan on needing more inputs than a single IPAC and possibly trackball/spinner support in the future IMO the Hagstrom is a better deal.

: Newbie here, suffering from information overload with all the cool stuff here on this site and on the message board. I'm torn between two keyboard encoders, the Hagstrom KE72T and Andy's IPAC.I'm planning to have 30+ inputs, so I'll have to daisy chain two IPACs. 55 inputs will be more than enough though, so either encoder fits the bill in that regard. I suppose that my main concern then is speed, but from what I've read both are pretty fast and very responsive. Price is roughly the same as far as I can tell (considering 2 IPACS).

: So I'm asking anyone with either/both encoder for opinions on their encoder, and maybe why you chose that encoder over other solutions? This shouldn't be such a concern I suppose, but if there are any cavets I should be aware of, I'd certainly appreciate some input (horrible pun intended).

: Thanks!
