The sound card came with some disks or something? Did you install those? Just checking...

: Ok, I just built my first PC. Things so far have been running well. That is, except for the sound. I installed a Soundblaster 16 ISA card. When I start up, there is no sound. CDs play through my auxilary speakers from the soundcard. When the modem dials in, I hear sound through the system speaker. During use, I can hear clicking and stuff, but when I play games through various emulators, I hear no sound. I downloaded a free mp3 player (Sonique). When I try to play mp3s though, I get a MMSTSTEM004 error. I looked up info on this error and found lots of info, but no fixes. Has anyone else had these problems? I think i have it hooked up corectly. It came with a grey cable that had 2 plugs on one end and one on the other. I hooked the 2 connectors to the SB16, and the other to the cd out. Sorry if these are stupid questions, but as I said, this is my first PC. ANy help is much appreciated.
