I have successfully hacked a $6.50 (EBAY) Wico Atari Command Control trackball (circa 1983)to a $10.00 USB mouse. I used the origional light choppers inside. I had to I had origionally planned to use a PS/2 mouse until I found out the PS/2 splitter was about $50.00 at the local CompUSA. Now I can have the 2 mice connected to different I/O ports. The Wico unit uses a cue ball inside. Just might have to install an 8-ball instead.

Since I bought a couple of little parts at Rat Shack and paid postage for the ball I'll say it's total was about $20.00.

Any questions?
