Bunch of Newbie Questions that I haven't been able to find answers for..

I am just beginning to build my first control panel. The basic set up for the control panel I want is to play SF games
The lay out will be 2 joysticks with 6 buttons each a spinner in the middle with 4 buttons higher up in the centre (player 1,2, coin, pause)

These are the keys I am going to use

123P upper centre

left joystick arrow keys

Lctrl, Lalt, Space bar
Lshift, z, x,

Spinner off of mouse port

Right joystick r,g,f,d,

A,s,q,
W,e,open brace

I am planning on using Happ super 8 joysticks and Comp Buttons ands making my own twistygrip spinner.

I am going to use a keyboard hack due to money restrictions, I have read that there are no problems with ghosting from old Keyboards, I have gotten my hands on about 4 so I hope 1 of them works.

Is there anything I’m leaving out?
Any glaring obvious mistakes that I’m making?
