LOL!! My wife has asked me why I do this many many times. :-)

Not only do I spend too much time configuring, I sell one project to finance another. I started with a V-stick I purchased, then I built my own lap top arcade controller with 2 sticks, many buttons, Fultra spinner and Happ trackball. The beastie was too heavy!

I than bought a sitdown JAMMA cabinet and replaced all the cheesy controls with quality Happs stuff and of course I had to add another 2 1/4 Happ trackball and Fultra spinner. It was not fun cramming that small control panel with all those components!

I didn't like the limitations of the standard res monitor (mostly for vertical games and medium res games) so I sold that and bought a full-sized ArcadePC that I plan on keeping...my wife says forever. But I can't just leave it the way it is. I will be building my own control panel with guess what?....a 3" Happ trackball and my 3rd Fultra spinner!! :-)

I hope to start working on the trackball installation tomorrow. I'm not going to modify the "stock" control panel but start from scratch. Tomorrow I get to learn how to use a borrowed router because I want to flush mount the trackball plate in the wood and cover it up with an overlay and a polycarbonate layer.

: I'd have to say I spend more time messing with the cab. Hopefully that will change when I get it looking and operating the way I want it to.
