: That's a separate concern. Go to TriggerFin's page on special Mame input tricks, listed below. I believe that to go right-only while locking out potential UP or DOWN deviations, you would input Right, Up-Up, Down-Down. Haven't tried it yet, but according to TF it's supposed to work.

Right: right NOT right-up NOT right-down
and similarly for the other 4 directions?
