In Reply to: Multiple Cabinet Control Panels with this Motherboard? posted by Bonsai on 1, 2001 at 12:22 AM:
Changing control panels is no different from unplugging/plugging-in keyboards and mice (presuming you're using the more common interfaces). Your motherboard will be in no danger, regardless of its make.
: I am building a cabinet with multiple control panels like the Roswell cabinet. Is it possible to change panels without powering down? The Roswell cabinet can do it. I am looking at the TYAN Trinity 400 motherboard. It does have the new 3.3v standby option. Will this be a problem? Will unplugging the panel while powered kill the board? I will be using a Powerramp hack for the panels. The reason for TYAN is the bios on boot-up is lightning fast. Any suggestions?
