: I appreciate all the info I found here on this monitor. As a test, I changed some vertical games in MAME to 640x480 resolution to see how they may look on this monitor. On my 17" monitor those

Why in the world are you running vertical games at 640x480? Of course they'll look tiny!

I think you've misunderstood about the D9200's resolution - the "640x480 resolution" spec simply means it's VGA compatible. It does NOT mean it's the only res the thing can do. When buying a monitor for emulation, it's best to ignore "resolution" specs and look at the horizontal & vertical scan rates - they tell the real story. You can do all sorts of resolutions using Advance MAME on a D9200. I believe it like 60 - 90 Hz at 31.5 Khz, not the most flexible range but good enough to get all the basic horizontal & vertical game resolutions going. Vertical games would take up the equivalent of a 21" vertical monitor.

games looked tiny. I don't think the size increase to a 27" monitor will be that much better. I know why, but rotating the monitor is not an option for me. Has anyone else found a way to adjust this with the D9200? I am looking to run MAME DOS and Space Ace DVD in the same cabinet. I don't think it can be done on an arcade monitor.
