4-Way diagonal and more questions

First-off, thanks to everyone who's answered my silly questions in my last few posts, it's been a big help.

I'm finally starting on my way with my MacMAME/DC cabinet - made the first batch of orders today, and got the DC hacks working on my test stick setup, now to start on the MacMAME side...

Anyway, my next question: has anyone made a rotating 4-way joystick?

I just love Q*Bert (I'm wierd like that) and it just doesn't feel right without that diagonal 4-way like the one I used to play at the airport.

I rigged up a 4 way stick with a plastic plate so it can only move along the 4 axis, and I'm thinking of making up a setup so the whole stick assembly can rotate between the diagonal and conventional orientations, so I can have the feel I want for Q*Bert and a regular Pac Man kind of thing going on to.

I didn't know if anyone else had done this and had any pointers. I have a couple of ideas.

Also, should I make a webpage to document my progress? There's a lot of pages out there already, and I don't know if I'll have anything that will be of use to anyone that hasn't already been done. I suppose the multiple-system stuff (It will at least work with MacMAME and my DC, and I'd eventually like to add JAMMA capability) and the fact that it's Mac oriented might be helpful, and I do have somewhat original plans for the cabinet.

Guess I'm a little long winded - sorry. Any thoughts?

Oh and thanks again to everyone - this message board is a great help.
