I have a PSX based question that !HASN'T! been answered! Please read and help! :^)

Hi, i recently bought myself a 'PSX-PC Converter' (parallel port version) and a HUGE 70cm PSX Twin Arcade Stick (For a look at this arcade stick please follow this URL: http://www.gamemaster.com.au/PST105.htm).
I thought that once i connect these 2 together i would have a arcade setup for my pc. I connected the pad ran DirectPad PRO and tried to test if the arcade pad works....... all i got was silence.......?
i connected my other PSX to see if it was the cable, but they worked perfectly! even if they weren't dual-shock! But i got no signal at all from the arcade sticks, it works fine with my PSX but when i connect it to the pc i get nothing! no signal or anything.
i then got a DC adapter and hooked it up to the parallel cable to see if it needs more power.... i switched it from 6V to 12V and still got nothing!
Can someone please help me and tell me what i need to do to get this arcade stick to work? Please visit the URL above to get a picture of this arcade stick and see if there is anything i can do. I would really appreciate it! Thanks :^)
