The monitor I was speaking of is a new WG7200 monitor. I called them and they assured me that it doesn't require an isolation transformer. I asked if it would hurt to have one...the tech said it would cause the picture to have interference in it.
I am not sure about your 25"..I would call WG or whoever the manufacturer is and ask them.
When I installed a monitor without an isolation transformer that needed one ( old go7 monitor ) I fried my video card....the monitor is still fine...I don't know what could have happened to yours...unless something was touching ground on the board...
