hey,

i run linux on my cab, but don't have X, i either
use xmame.svga or xmame.svgfx (i also have a Voodoo2
in the box, don't think it will work w/ a Banshee card
though.)

you might try setting the modelines (and dotclock) in
/etc/vga/libvga.config

you should also get a speedup on your games since
svgamode is the fastest xmame mode.

either way please let us know how it's going!

: Hi,

: After some messing around, i got X4.01 to show up on my arcade monitor using my voodoo banshee. I did this by copying the modelines generated by Advanced Mame and putting them into my XF86Config file and setting the monitor H&V sync to be 15.7 and 50-60 respectivly.

: Theres one problem though... X rejects any modes that have a Dot Clock lower than 12 :(.

: X allows you to reporgram the Clocks of certain cards, does any one here know if and how i can do this for my banshee and other cards ?

: Thanks
