Hi folks,
I still haven't shelled out the $50 to buy a deguassing wand for my new Sharp Image 27" VGA arcade monitor in my ArcadePC because the image has gotten better... but it's not perfect yet. I may end up buying one after all but I want to wait another week or so before deciding.
I do have what appears to be a convergence problem at the very top 10 lines or so of the tube. Or could this be related to deguassing? With white text, I can clearly see the separate R,G,B colors so I assume the convergence is either out or the monitor just isn't capable of displaying a full sized image.
My question is, what exactly does the focus knob on the flyback transformer do? Is it involved with convergence or is it a hokie sharpness type control?
How does one adjust convergence on one of these arcade VGA monitors?
