The picture quality of convertors (infact I hated the picture!) is not upto to true RGB at the right Khz, plus some of them use a frame buffer (for modes with screen height greater than 240 lines), so they don't vsync looks kinda of jerky..
Please note this is my view from my own convertor experience.
