No, your monitor will not explode.
You have to be sure to that the electronics will not overheat because the airflow in it's plastic cover is designed for horizontal use.
If you make ventilation in your cab, it's always a good thing, but the magnetic field of the fan-motor can interfere with the colors on the screen, so test where you can place it before fixing the fan on it's place.
