Is the fact that I don't like a category of games reason enough for the MAME Dev Team to remove that category from MAME?

Is it possible and quite easy to make a personal build of MAME where I can remove support for any game or category of games of my choice?

Do I really have to dowload all rom-files and play all games supported by official MAME?

Is it possible that there are individuals except me that do like games or categories of games that I don't?

If MAME is a multiple arcade machine mmulator, And if there are mahjong games in arcade machines, should MAME then include or exclude mahjong games?
