Well as I believe both Scot and Chris knows, I too also have a 27" (or is it 27 feet, I forget...;-) SI-327V in my full-size ArcadePC. I too will have a trackball and Fultra spinner in my cabinet but I'm doing the work myself. I have all the parts, I just need to find time and finalize the cp layout.

I agree with Scot, the monitor is nice. It doesn't show scanlines but it is sufficiently fuzzy enough to make the games look like they should. The best part is the resolution, it will do 1024x768 interlaced or so the specs say. I don't plan on using that res but I have tried 800x600 and it works fine. The horizontal range is 31.5-28.5 and vertical is 50-90Hz. I am using AdvancedMAME and I have set Moon Patrol up with a 57Hz vertical refresh as it's supposed to be and it actually fills the screen as it should instead of making it look like a vertical game as it did with my PC monitor without AdvanceMAME. Smooth scrolling and full screen on R-type at 55Hz is also sweet.

It also has a nice on screen display and it saves the settings. I still haven't figured out exactly how it determines which user setting to save the resolution to. Ok, that's not real clear but what I'm trying to say is that when I make some adjustments it saves the settings in say "U17" but there may be another resolution that also uses these same settings. There are quite a few different settings in my setup so far but the couple screen sizes that use a common setting is a bit annoying.

My monitor still has a slight blurry area at the top of the screen but as Chris said, this is probably just a deguassing issue. My local Radio Shack or Ohio Valley Sound didn't have deguassing coils and a TV repair place said they could order me one for $50 which is the same price Happs sells theirs for. Since my picture gets better daily, I am going to wait and see if it totally goes away by itself. It's very hard to see now and I only notice it if I look very closely.

One other issue with mine is the top few lines look like the convergence is out. I have no idea how to correct this. Scott or Chris? :-)

: I have a Sharp Image SI-327V (aka SI-227SVGA) 27' monitor in my full size ArcadePC that I purchased from Hanaho. I hear much about Wells Gardner monitors but never anything about the SI monitors.

: My monitor has terrible color bleeding on both sides of the monitor - this is probably due to the terrible whack the cabinet received during shipping. Other than this, it is a beautiful monitor.

: Does anyone have any comments, experiences?
