IPAC problems

We've recently built a joystick with the IPAC and everything has been working great. Occasionally we have a problem with the control and it stops working. The computer starts beeping much like a keyboard overload (similar to the sound when a machine locks up). Also, the keyboard pass through does not work all of the time.

I've done a visual check and don't see any wires crossing. The controls work well most of the time, but this is an annoying problem. Any help is appreciated.
