I have a circuit in a magazine that shows how to convert the 7 pin 8bit NES controllers into either
1) 8 discreet output switches that can be used on a keyboard encoder directly or
2) An actual 15pin PC joystick input connector to simulate a digital gamepad on the gameport.
I can either scan that in when I get my scanner back, or redraw it maybe on my own. I can probably build one too if it's what you'd be looking for. I have my old 8bit nes that I could test it with in an experimental version. My only wonder is how to actually plug the NES controller into anything - those are weird funky 7 pin plugs, maybe there's some prongs that can fit nicely into the holes and make contact...unless you can hack off the end of the cord and just wire it directly, but I wouldn't prefer that...I'd try to find something I can plug into the holes on the cable and do it that way.
