You might consider using a wireless keyboard. Then you can just put it on top or behind your cabinet when you're not using it.

: Putting the finishing touches on my cabinet and I decided that I'd like to add a keyboard drawer under my control panel. Sadly, I don't have much in a selection of fancy tools, just the basic ones...So what I'm wondering is this - Does anyone have the specs or info on an easy to build drawer that can hold a keyboard and maybe a mouse? Anyone used any tricks to get the job done simpler?
