I have purchased the Ozstick ultimate and have nothing but praise for it and the guy who decided to take the risks in a venture as this, In Australia Unlike the USA the Vintage gameing market is much much more smaller, Though it is a growing base.I myself would love a stick with a spinner but understand the difficulty in bringing this to market due to time and demand and Importantly cost factor, It will obviously remain niche product to the hardcore untill more mass distribution happens. If the price can be kept at a reasonable AUD $25 to $50 extra I would be Interested (Funny thing Im wondering is why has Hanaho not made them yet) Im sure It is not a distribution problem but perhaps sales of their hotrod has made them think it is not feasible !, either that or they are just being lax with their product since there is no real competition and happy to sit on their laurels like gameboy had done for many years.
anyway On a final note I have to say that Ozstick is a very profesional company with a quality product that won't empty your wallet and I respect their decision in being very cautious in coming to market with a spinner, as I don't want them to end up like all those other companies who have died off perhaps trying to be to ambitious before they or the market was ready.

: Hi all,

: We have redesigned the control layout of our Ultimate model with the thought of MAYBE adding a spinner as an option, for the very reason you guys have already mentioned - people want them!!!

: I am just beginning to research what is required to make a good quality spinner at a reasonable price at the moment. If all goes well we will probably offer a spinner, both incorporated into our Ultimate, and as a standalone unit.

: This 'anouncement' is very premature, but I thought I should take the opportunity to see what sort of feedback we can generate....

: : I wouldn't have minded if they had just left space in these controllers for trackballs and spinners. How difficult would that have been!? I mean, if you're going to take YEARS to put out new Hotrods with spinners and trackballs, at least give us room to put our own in. I'm really surprised (they're SUPER lucky) that other companies have not come in to fill this void that Hanaho has left for so long.

: : : You'd THINK that a version of the Hotrod with a spinner and/or a trackball would have come out at the MOST a year after the original Hotrod. Nope, we got Arcade PC, Mini Arcade PC, Arcade PC Coctail, blah blah... NONE of which have anything but joysticks. WHY won't anyone make affordable steering wheels, guns, and controllers with joysticks AND spinners or trackballs? Spinners or trackballs shouldn't add much more than $50 to the controllers. What I would like is a large controller with JUST 2 spinners for each player with buttons, and then 2 steering wheels that could fit on top of the spinners somehow.

: :
: : : : : Is there room in the HotRod to add a spinner?
: : : : : What interface does it use and would it support
: : : : : the addition??

: : : : I know Richard R. reads these messages, so I put it out to him. I believe you are missing out on a very large base of customers because you give the impression you don't support spinners and/or trackballs on a hotrod.

: : : : 1. You don't respond to posts on the subject
: : : : 2. Som many people are scrambling around trying to make it work
: : : : 3. No hint anywhere you'll even consider it.

: : : : Is there a problem with implementing such a thing? Will it create a logistics nightmare for you, or are you just waiting to see everyone sweat for a while?

: : : : Please let us know.
