So 'Same Old, Same Old' - are you willing to step out from behind your bogus name and let us know who you are? It's very easy to take a cheap shot at someone and remain totally anonymous, and I certainly don't appreciate being left in a completely undefendable position!

So you leave me little option but to reply directly to your comments (and possibly lose some customers in the process):

1.YOU may have been making custom spinners for 'a long time', but I have not.

2. My post is premature because we are yet look at the issue in depth.

3. The purpose of our 'research' is to see if spinners are economically viable, as well as seeing whether we can mass produce a quality assembly in a timely fashion to comfortably fit in an area 3" x 3" x 2.5" in size. Where do you get off implying that our research is a waste of time, when you don't have a clue as to WHAT we are researching and why??

4. I have not taken 'YEARS' to get to this stage with spinners! You are conveniently ignoring my statement that we are considering it because that's what people want - I get 3 or 4 emails a week asking about spinners and got to the stage where I decided to do something about it!

5. Yes, you could be waiting another year before we offer spinners for sale, depending how busy we become with our joysticks! The reason? In reality, OzStick is a 1 man operation: me! And we're talking part time as well - as is the case with Chris from Fultra, I have a full time job that pays the bills, and make arcade stuff as a hobby business. I take research seriously, because I have precious little time to do it compared to filling orders etc.

FYI I am actually taking the next 2 weeks off my full time job to work solely on OzStick issues, rather than give my family the holiday they deserve. So when I see an opportunity to obtain some valuable feedback on offering you guys a new product, all I get is you making anonymous bullshit statements. Thanks very much!

I would still like to hear from anyone else re spinners - the more responses I get, the better the chances of us making it happen. In the meantime Mr. Same Old Same Old, or whoever the hell you are, can go and get stuffed! (sorry Saint, I'm not as subtle as you..)

: Why does this 'premature' announcement sound the same as everyone elses?? Because it is. How come it has also taken you YEARS to do 'research' on how to add an affordable spinner. C'mon we've been doing custom spinners for a long time now; there's no real research or secrets as to how to make them correctly. Looks like we'll be waiting ANOTHER YEAR from all these companies. *SIGH*

: : Hi all,

: : We have redesigned the control layout of our Ultimate model with the thought of MAYBE adding a spinner as an option, for the very reason you guys have already mentioned - people want them!!!

: : I am just beginning to research what is required to make a good quality spinner at a reasonable price at the moment. If all goes well we will probably offer a spinner, both incorporated into our Ultimate, and as a standalone unit.

: : This 'anouncement' is very premature, but I thought I should take the opportunity to see what sort of feedback we can generate....

: : : I wouldn't have minded if they had just left space in these controllers for trackballs and spinners. How difficult would that have been!? I mean, if you're going to take YEARS to put out new Hotrods with spinners and trackballs, at least give us room to put our own in. I'm really surprised (they're SUPER lucky) that other companies have not come in to fill this void that Hanaho has left for so long.

: : : : You'd THINK that a version of the Hotrod with a spinner and/or a trackball would have come out at the MOST a year after the original Hotrod. Nope, we got Arcade PC, Mini Arcade PC, Arcade PC Coctail, blah blah... NONE of which have anything but joysticks. WHY won't anyone make affordable steering wheels, guns, and controllers with joysticks AND spinners or trackballs? Spinners or trackballs shouldn't add much more than $50 to the controllers. What I would like is a large controller with JUST 2 spinners for each player with buttons, and then 2 steering wheels that could fit on top of the spinners somehow.

: : :
: : : : : : Is there room in the HotRod to add a spinner?
: : : : : : What interface does it use and would it support
: : : : : : the addition??

: : : : : I know Richard R. reads these messages, so I put it out to him. I believe you are missing out on a very large base of customers because you give the impression you don't support spinners and/or trackballs on a hotrod.

: : : : : 1. You don't respond to posts on the subject
: : : : : 2. Som many people are scrambling around trying to make it work
: : : : : 3. No hint anywhere you'll even consider it.

: : : : : Is there a problem with implementing such a thing? Will it create a logistics nightmare for you, or are you just waiting to see everyone sweat for a while?

: : : : : Please let us know.
