Same here, no problems w/ 4-Ways, Hitting Diagnals, or Height problems, while using the Super Joysticks.
After following this for quite a bit, I've come to believe that the problems w/ 4-Way games result from how the joysticks are interfaced, not the joysticks themselves.
Height on the other hand, seems to be a simple matter of preference.

: Just wanted to let anyone out there who cares know that I have had excellent results using Happ Compitetion Joysticks on my project(fully functional PS2 keyboard kacked to an original Mortal Kombat II control pannel). These are 8-way joysticks but I have experienced none of the ill affects that others have complained about when using 8-way sticks. Games like Pacman & Donkey Kong respond without flaw as do all others that I have tried so far. The only drawback to these sticks are their short height, but that can be compensated for somewhat with a little router work or by using a metal control pannel.
