Remember 8 way joysticks have 4 inputs assigned to them so 4 would be a total of 16 inputs. 24 buttons for the joys brings you to 40. A 4-way and 4 buttons is 8 more for 48. 2 more for the TB and approx. 8 more buttons for around 58 total inputs. So, if you want all 58 inputs to be assigned indiviually (versus sharing some inputs) you need an encoder that is capable of accepting 58 inputs. I think the KE-72 from Hagstrom is your best bet but look around.
