Go into config, change the keys for this game, and change the P1 LEFT and P1 RIGHT joysticks.
example:
P1 left/up is the left joystick for moving.
P1 right/up is the right joystick for firing.
Set this for P1 left & right in all 4 directions. Thats it! You don't need to worry about any other players since they all use the same controls.

: I just built a 4 player MAME cabinet and I am having trouble setting the controls for Smash TV. this is more of a mame question than a cabinet question. When I go into the configuration menu(TAB), I can't figure what to set to make it work like it is supposed to(2 joysticks per player... 1 for movement, 1 for shooting direction). I am using a KE72 encoder btw. Any help would be appreciated as I haven't found anything dealing with this subject yet. Thanks in advance.
