: I'd like to know the minimun mesarures needed to install a Happ Super Joystick and horizontal pushbuttons. Since I'm using 1 3/4' wood, I've bought the longer version of pushbuttons, because the shorter version is hard to install with this wood thickness (right?)

Right!

Another thing to bear in mind is the possitioning of the stick, I've heard that Supers allow two different possitions, one where the lever is upper and therefore longer, and one with a shorter lever. I don't know exactly the differences in gameplay between both possitions (please somebody experienced explain this), but I think I prefer a shorter stick, which means more height for the box (right?).

The positions are mainly to account for control panel thickness. For a metal (1/16-inch thick approx) panel you would use the shorter setting. For 3/4 inch wood you would normally use the longer setting. I was planning on using the longer setting with 3/8 inch wood, but I prefer a longer stick. I doubt you will want the shorter setting with 3/4 inch wood, but I don't know.

With this in mind, could you telle me the height needed inside the box? To this I would have to add the thickness of the top and the botton of the box.

First off, your best bet is to wait until you have the Supers, decide which wait you want to use the sticks and go from there. Having said that. . .

Happs website shows the stick as 6.05 inches overall and 3.41 inches above the panel for (AFAI can tell) the longer stick setting. This leaves 2.64 below the panel so figure 2.75 to 3.0 inches required. I would probably add another .75 inches if you go with the "shorter" stick setting.

Also, all this is based on a non-angled control panel top.
