I -JUST- capped the 19" WG from my Joust cabinet last night. Carefully replacing one cap at a time, making sure the polarity was correct. Then after they were all in, looking them over again to be sure they were inserted correctly.

Reinstalled the board and fired it up. Screen looked fine. :) Lasted about 2 minutes. POP!

Pulled the board back out. found the offending cap, and examined it again, thinking I had put in in reverse and had missed it on inspection. The polarity was correct! Placed the -old- cap back in the board the same way and fired it up again.
No problems. *shrug*

The 'funky' stuff at the top of the monitor was gone. It had looked similar to image roll-over, but it wasnt. Hard to explain how it looked.
But its fine now.

Now I have to re-cap the powersupply board.
Nasty ripple and low voltages..
