Arcade monitor question:

I'm having all sorts of problems getting my Wells-Gardner 25" monitor to work so I'm thinking about cutting my losses and getting something new.

Currently, the monitor is in my NBA Jam Extreme cabinet which is NOT a MAME cabinet. Once I complete my cocktail project, I will convert the upright to MAME as well.

So having said that, what's the best monitor for the job? At a minimum, it needs to support standard resolution so that I can run arcade PCB's
through it -- but I don't know if that limits what it can do with MAME. Should I be looking at monitors that also support EGA or better? Would that help MAME out at all?

Also, what are your feelings on the different monitor brands? Pentranic and Wells-Gardner are the only 2 manufacturers that I know about with the Pentranic monitors being considerably cheaper. Does anyone have
any experience in this area?

Thanks much -- I need to get this done soon, as our Superbowl party is less than 2 weeks away!
