All they have to do is change the coin mechs. Not too expensive.

: I'm a Spaniard, and as you may know, we're about to change our coinage from pesetas to euros. Same happens in many other European countries. The thing is that old arcade machines, like all coin operated machines in my country, use coin doors for pesetas, so most of them should be adapted for using euros, if you want to keep them operative by next year (am I right?). But, videogame coin'ops are getting more and more unpopular (specially those holding old games from the nineties), so do you really think the owners of these machines are going to spend money in updating cabinets that are not worthy (from the economical point of view)? I don't think they will.. so I believe this could be the best moment to get cabinets for little money or even for free. I'm sure many ignorant and senseless people would even give cabinets for free if you just can carry them away. Can I be wrong, or I'm a right to think that this sittuation of coinage change can benefit me and all those interesting in getting an old cabinet????
