Since the control panel is the only finished part of my project I can tell you that laminate works great! Don't know what country your in but for some reason our local Lowe's store is closing out 30" x 60" sheets of laminate at $10.00 each. That was plenty for me to experiment with to get it right. I choose a textured finish that shows no prints and is durable. Good Luck!
