I can't believe you're actually waiting for another final! Man, you're missing out on SOOOOOOO much! Don't let the word beta scare you.
Plus waiting for a final to download the new roms... that's an even BIGGER mistake! What if all the good rom sites get closed down by that time? And do you really want to hunt down hundreds of megabytes of roms all at once? It's muuuuch easier to get them over the course of the beta cycle.

: It's been a longgggg time (over a year now) since there was an official final release of MAME. It used to happen once the betas were getting into double digits. Anyone on the project know if it will be soon? I usually don't download the roms until a final is released. Thanks!
