A RotoZip might work, but those things go so fast you might melt the plastic around your cut - I'm not sure though. I've tried working plexi with a dremel tool before, and it was a problem I had.

For the controller I made, I used a lucite top sheet, and cut the holes with a carbide hole saw in my cordless drill. The joystick hole I ended up making a bit bigger with a polishing tip on my dremel tool. Seemed to work okay, but at higher speeds, the Dremel tool started to melt the plastic a bit. I got a very clear finish by sanding it with find grit sanding film and a rough polishing cloth.

: Has anyone tried to cut plexi with a tool like the RotoZip spiral saw? The reason why i'm asking is that I was bored on sunday afternoon and caught an infomercial :)

: They showed a lady cut out some bird toys from the plexi, and i thought that it might be a great way to make holed for all my control panel goodies.

: If anyone has tried this method, please let me know how it went :)
